R384 Decking Wood Oil
Decking Wood Oil is a water based penetrating treatment for wood, its special formula works to protect, enhance and preserve the decking without the use of aggregates or abrasives. Water is repelled from the surface so the timber is dryer for longer periods, this reduces the growth of spores and algae. Ingredients penetrate into the timber to give long lasting protection, available in a variety of colours.

- Always test a small hidden portion of the substrate before use, to ensure the final result is satisfactory and to calculate consumption.
- Ensure the surface to be treated is dry, clean, free from any contaminants including dust, dirt, oil, grease, algae and mould.
- Algae, moss and spores must be treated and removed with a good quality algicide before application, all residues of the algicide need to be removed and allowed to dry before applying the decking/wood oil.
- For best results first use a power washer to remove the dirt and grime from between the grooves of the decking.
- Remove previous coatings such as paint, varnish or stain fully before applying the decking / wood oil.
- Supplied ready to use do not dilute.
- Shake the container well before use
- Ensure surface is thoroughly dry and clean before proceeding.
- Do not pour directly onto the surface.
- Apply a thin even coat with a brush, in the direction of the wood grain.
- Mop up pooling as you go using a lint free cloth.
- Allow the first coat to fully dry, and then apply a second coat
- Leave to dry for at least 24 hours before subjecting to heavy traffic.
